The Name The Chocolate Season...

How did it come to be?

With every season that passes in our lives, there is a reason people eat, give or celebrate with chocolate.

General Questions

We are proud to use two European companies that are over 100 years old, and carry long term contract with their cacao-farming partners. The majority of our chocolate comes from Valrhona in France.  Noted as one of the finest couvertures in the industry, world-wide, we love bringing a range of flavor profiles, innovative chocolate products, and diverse countries of origin to the Midwest.  We love supporting a company that is B-Corp certified and transparent in their endeavors to personally take care of the cacao growers and their communities.  You’ll taste the difference in chocolate as we craft our confections using the best the world has to offer.  We also have new love for our Swiss friends, Felchlin, known to be the best of the best in milk and white varietals. They focus on sustainable practices, ethical sourcing, as well as prioritizing quality over mass volume, with old-world Swiss techniques employing over 190 people in central Switzerland. Both these companies have struck a chord in our heart and we can't wait to share them with you!

While we do make items that contain gluten, nuts or dairy in our facility, we isolate all allergen ingredients to the best of our abilities with how strategic scheduling of our projects in the kitchen as well as with our sanitation practices. If you have a gluten intolerance or allergy, please be aware of your own tolerance to trace amounts of these allergens. If you have any specific dietary restrictions, we encourage you to give us a call at 402-466-1139 so that we can assist you with any questions you may have.

We offer a few panned items such as our SF bridge mix and a dark chocolate SF panned almond.  Other confections we make feature an alternate sugar free chocolate, manufactured by Valrhona.  We are able to craft dried fruit and nut clusters with SF chocolate or we have a few artisan bar flavors in dark and milk chocolate that are also available.  These options need to be special-ordered, please contact us to order: contact@thechocolateseason.com

TCS Local

The Chocolate Season was created to be an experience for the young and young at heart, the busy business mogul, and your out-of-town cousins…along with their 5 kids!  TCS can serve up sweet and savory baked goods to go with your morning java, or grab a chicken salad sandwich or yogurt parfait when you have a jam-packed day at work.  Drinks are expertly crafted using local coffee beans, Valrhona couverture chocolate, and even the flavored syrups are made in-house- so that every detail is monitored for a fantastic outing.  The artisan chocolates, confections, and desserts are made right in front of you in the kitchen, so enjoy the show as you wait for your drink or shop our retail area.  Seating is available indoors or outdoors on our patio.  Soft seating to laze the day away, or free internet and high top tables make life on your laptop a breeze…there’s even a kids’ corner complete with books and crayons so your little ones can feel just as taken care of as you are!

Stopping by on the weekend?  Enjoy brunch with our nationally-acclaimed waffle recipes and homemade quiches or slip through our Drive-Thru to grab drinks and treats on your way out for a weekend getaway.

There’s always something for everyone at TCS, we built the store and this brand with YOU in mind.  Come see the reason this will become your new favorite daily ritual or family memory in the making.

The purpose behind TCS was always to give reasons to show appreciation to others, craft memorable experiences in-store, or with our nationwide gift-giving, and bridge the gap between generations over something we can all relate to: food and drink!  Our drink flights give the perfect excuse to sit and stay awhile.  Put away your phone and connect with someone over coffee or hot chocolate :)

We do not require reservations Tuesday thru Friday, you are free to walk-in and design a flight or enjoy the day as your schedule allows. However, if there is no seating available at that particular time, you'll need to wait for the next available table as full flights are not offered with a "to-go" option. If you'd like to call ahead and reserve a time, our reservations will always include a table picked out with space appropriate for your group size.

Weekend reservations are required to ensure we have set aside the perfect table for your party, as well as to schedule enough help on our busy brunch weekends.

Call the store at (402) 466-1139 to talk to one of our baristas. They will walk you through the drink flight experience, ask about preferred date and time as well as how many friends will be coming along.  Payment is required to secure the reservation/table and those calls must be placed by end of day on Friday for that upcoming Saturday and Sunday.

Since each drink (4 per board) is crafted by hand with multiple ingredients, it's the perfect opportunity to grab a treat to munch on while your flight(s) are being made.  With servings large enough to share, you can easily request an extra glass for partner flights, or if you’d each like your own flight, we are happy to offer small to-go cups if you can not finish the remainder of your drinks.

Our menu has approximately 16-18 drinks per menu season and covers the bases of traditional, non-traditional, coffee, tea, chocolate, and even the choice of dairy or non-dairy milk in your drinks.

We hope you’ll take the time to invest some time in a friend or family member’s life…and we hope you can enjoy that time over a delicious drink (or 4) at The Chocolate Season!
